Hi I’m Tania Howard, the principle at Talent Seed. Frustration at the lack of affordable recruitment options for SMEs led me to set up Talent Seed. I saw there was a lack of expertise within the industry which business owners were relying on or their attempts at hiring themselves led to bad hires. Agencies were charging an arm and a leg yet not adding much value.
For SMEs hiring another person is a big decision but there's no need to be deprived of expertise as well. Finding the right values and cultural fit for your business is even more critical yet the majority of agencies (and certainly businesses) have no idea how to measure this. Yet it's easy when you know how!

Outside of Talent Seed, I travel when I can, competing with my nephew as to how many countries we’ve seen (last count 54 vs 50, yay). I energise myself by getting out in nature, scuba diving and love a good book. A wine affectionado I have a healthy cellar buying more wine than I drink, countering this by running and swimming. I love sharing knowledge and am constantly sending snippets of information to many a friend, colleague or customer to help them with their latest project.
I am supported by a team of expert recruiters who I have worked with over the years.
Karen Mirabelli has been working as a recruiter for Talent Seed since 2014. She worked as a recruiter in several agencies before becoming a Mum. She now works 9.30 - 2.30 assessing candidates for a variety of roles. She has has learnt a lot about recruitment due to our model which is much more indepth, assessing fit and motivation of candidates, something she didn't learn in her time in agencies. She enjoys the flexibility that the Talent Seed model of recruitment gives her.
Stephanie Patterson is an on-demand recruiter. She has substantial experience in recruitment having worked for agencies before moving into an in-house advisory role for a large tertiary provider. Like all of the recruiters to keep a low cost model she works from home.
Outside of work Stephanie is a busy mum with two girls. She is also studying nutrition and has a passion for all things natural.
